Facilities CAD Specialist – Mid
We are looking for a detail-oriented Facilities CAD Specialist to support the United States Air Force (USAF) in increasing facility utilization and meeting space management goals.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze, formulate, and recommend facility standards, design, and space criteria through space utilization studies and forecasts for US AF civil engineering clients.
- Develop solutions for facility planning and manage facility planning solutions.
- Control and manage cost, schedule, risk, and resource optimization for complex projects.
- Prepare or review facilities estimates and site proposals for client cost and feasibility review.
- Collaborate with US AF civil engineering community to develop plans and programs that respond to current and anticipated portfolio and space requirements.
- Recommend planning, design, and construction standards or milestones for projects.
- Experience with AutoCAD and Revit for building drawings and facilities.
- Ability to learn new processes or procedures and apply them to existing CAD contract requirements.
- Capacity to conduct facility surveys.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint, Access).
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
- Eligibility to obtain a Secret clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree and ≥ 2 years of facilities CAD experience, or ≥ 6 years of facilities CAD experience in lieu of a degree.
- Experience with DoD clients and familiarity with AFMAN 32‑1084, AFI 32‑7062, and comprehensive planning.
- Knowledge of DoD installations, missions, organizations, and facility types, including Category Codes.
- Knowledge of AFI 32‑1015, Integrated Installation Planning, DAFI 32‑9005, and real property accountability/reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Engineering, or Geography.
- Autodesk certification.

CompensationProjected salary range: $61,900.00 – $ per year (annualized USD). The range reflects typical compensation for this position.
