Mechanical Design Engineer – Test Equipment

• design and development of hydraulic, electro-hydraulic, electro-mechanical, servo-mechanism, and electro-pneumatic components and systems that will be used to test the products of Moog, Inc.
• responsible for design and development of new electrical test equipment, assemblies, and/or processes to meet cost, schedule, and performance goals.
• contribute to the design of test equipment to verify functional performance of products used on military, commercial, and space vehicles.
• operate as key element in a team of creative, independent individuals.
• consult with internal customers.
• design hydraulic / pneumatic schematics to support new test system designs.
• integrate hydraulic components into higher level test systems.
• prepare, support, and guide the work of Assembly and Test technicians supporting your development activities.
• contribute on work estimates for design and development efforts.
• maintain engineering records
• create reliable designs through a comprehensive experimental development test program.
• document designs, analyses, and test results with accurate and concise reports.
• coordinate and support the assembly of test equipment.

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering with 3 years’ relevant technical experience
• Self-motivated
• critical thinking and strong analytical skills
• Solid modeling and/or drafting experience
• Doors experience a plus

Demonstrates expertise in the design and development of hydraulic, electro-hydraulic, and electro-mechanical systems, with a strong focus on creating reliable test equipment for military, commercial, and space applications. Proficient in solid modeling, drafting, and maintaining engineering records while collaborating effectively with team members and internal customers.
