As a member of the Cross-Mission Effectiveness Department (CMED), you will provide technical capabilities to support our customers in modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) of space, air, and ground-based systems of systems to investigate architecture and concept of operations (CONOPS) performance in nominal and contested operating environments. MS&A focus areas include agent-based modeling, red vs blue simulations, military utility and capability drawdown, killchain effectiveness, enterprise architecture resiliency, and command and control (C2) evaluation.

• Advancing our software solutions for modeling and simulation applications
• Leveraging modern tech stack and enforcing best practices in modern software development and maintainability
• Assisting in converting programmatic requirements into actionable work
• Work closely with our cross-mission focused program offices and customers to translate their program needs into modeling, simulation, and analysis tasks.
• Develop and present briefings and reports for program offices and customers.
• Travel occasionally as required.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited program in computer science, electrical engineering, optical engineering, physics, mathematics, or related field
• Three or more years of experience in modern software development using a systems software language
• Proficiency in C++, preferably in C++20
• Comfortable working with and following a large code base in C++
• Experience with Python
• Experience in modeling and simulation
• Experience in at least one of the following: optics, beam control, filtering, multi-in tracking, tasking, mission management, data transport, C2 processes, SIGINT system modeling, kill chain analysis, orbit determination
• Ability to work both independently and cooperatively within a team and manage multiple simultaneous tasks
• Familiar with software development cycles and working with repos (git, bitbucket, etc.)
• Demonstrated strong work ethic, self-motivation, and willingness to take initiative
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A bias for action and the ability to identify shortcomings and address them with initiative
• This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.

It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:

• A Masters degree in applicable STEM areas or other relevant disciplines.
• Proficiency with the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM).
• Demonstrated strength in sensor-and architecture-level simulations and mission performance assessments.
• Experience with software integration of multiple code bases and tools
• Knowledge of Intelligence Community, U.S. Department of Defense, and Department of the Air Force business practices and programs.
• Current Top Secret/SCI Clearance with polygraph, and special programs access.
