AVP, Energy Supply Engineering, Asset Management

• Provide strategic leadership for the safe development and delivery of generation fleet expansion, life-extension, and asset renewal capital projects
• Develop, recommend, and implement engineering business strategies and annual and long-term business plans
• Develop and manage annual and long-term budgets
• Communicate the organization’s vision, mission, and key objectives
• Oversee a capital portfolio averaging approximately $2.6B annually and O&M budgets of approximately $518M
• Direct project scoping, scheduling, cost management, siting, environmental permitting, land acquisition, engineering, design, procurement, construction, project management, and project controls
• Ensure compliance with environmental, state, federal, NERC, EPA, RTO/ISO, and FERC requirements
• Oversee maintenance of generation assets and generation system models, drawings, data, and geospatial information
• Coordinate planning and execution among Plant Operations & Maintenance, Engineering & Construction, and Strategic Planning & Business Operations teams
• Lead development and implementation of cost-effective labor strategies
• Partner with Workforce Relations and local union leadership
• Attract, recruit, retain, motivate, and develop the engineering workforce
• Establish and communicate performance expectations and promote employee safety and development
• Serve as Energy Supply Engineering liaison with senior executives across NSP, PSCo, and SPS
• Build relationships with jurisdictional and corporate peers and implement common best practices

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, or Engineering, or equivalent knowledge from a combination of education and experience
• Minimum 15 years of utility experience, including generation engineering and operations and capital project delivery
• At least 5 years of middle-management experience
• Experience managing in a union environment
• Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to implement cross-organizational, cross-business-unit, and cross-disciplinary projects
• Ability to support culture change and build business acumen
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of Energy Supply / Generation Engineering business functions
• Understanding of NERC, FERC, EPA, state PUC, and RTO/ISO regulatory requirements and their business and operational implications
• Ability to reach results
• Engineering degree preferred
