THE WORK

Lockheed Martin is seeking a talented level 2 Satellite Mission Engineer with an active Top Secret clearance to work from our Colorado Springs, CO - Schriever AFB location. You will be joining the Death Valley Program as an on-site Ground Controller (GC) of a ground network.
This is a shift-work position, and requires the ability to work any shift as required.

Job Description

Conducts mission/program specific real time spacecraft/satellite flight operations during readiness, execution and evaluation phases.
Develops detailed plans and procedures to provide maximum mission support in areas such as orbit dynamics, satellite performance analysis, command and control of on-orbit satellites.
Provides technical direction for on orbit mission support, plans for critical vehicle malfunctions and recommends alternate operating techniques to continue maximum mission support.
Provides failure analysis of the performance of the orbiting satellites via telemetry data. Utilizes system software to accomplish all spacecraft control tasks and recommends improvements.
Analyzes and validates software performance. Performs flight length orbit adjust and daily special event studies.

This is an EMERGING PROFESSIONAL (level
2) ROLE where candidates typically require 1+ years of professional experience and a BS degree.

Basic Qualifications

Experience in operation of command and control (C2) ground systems related to satellite operations.
Ability to support 24/7, 365 operations.
Active Top Secret clearance required for consideration.

Desired Skills

Security+ or other compliant cert
Proven diagnostic and troubleshooting experience.
Ground station communications, configuration, operation, and/or fault isolation experience
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Must be an effective communicator with strong oral and written communications skills.
Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $70500.00 - $130900.00
