- Decompose and allocate top-level Nuclear Survivability requirements into system, subsystem, and component-level specifications
- Develop and maintain requirements traceability from system-level nuclear survivability criteria to design and test artifacts
- Collaborate with hardware, software, and specialty engineering teams to implement nuclear survivability requirements across the system architecture
- Support radiation testing activities, including test planning coordination, data review, and documentation
- Monitor hardness assurance/hardness surveillance processes for manufacturing and design compliance
- Participate in requirements reviews, design reviews, and technical interchange meetings
- Prepare compliance matrices, verification plans, and technical reports for internal and customer/government review
- Identify and help resolve gaps, conflicts, or ambiguities in nuclear survivability requirements
- Lead system and decision analysis, technical planning, and risk management efforts
- Provide guidance to junior engineers and mentor less experienced team members
- Take responsibility for architecture/design development, technical monitoring, and lifecycle management
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field
- Experience in requirements development, decomposition, and traceability for complex systems
- Familiarity with nuclear survivability concepts (radiation effects, hardness assurance, EMP) or strong aptitude to learn them quickly
- Understanding of systems engineering processes across the full lifecycle (requirements, design, verification, validation)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Experience using JIRA, JAMA and CAMEO
- Direct experience with nuclear survivability standards (e.g., MIL-STD-3023, DG-1023) or radiation hardness assurance (RHA) programs preferred
- Familiarity with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS, Jama) preferred
- Exposure to radiation test facilities, test data analysis, or hardness surveillance program monitoring preferred
- Active U.S. government security clearance preferred
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance
- U.S. Citizenship status required
Demonstrates expertise in Nuclear Survivability requirements development, decomposition, and traceability, with a strong understanding of systems engineering processes. Capable of leading technical planning, risk management, and mentoring junior engineers while ensuring compliance with nuclear survivability standards.
