- Contribute to the Mechanical Engineering Competency through design, development, and technical analysis
- Generate, evaluate, analyze, and develop design concepts for components and assemblies
- Support new product requirements and current product improvements
- Work with engineers to ensure appropriate processes, tooling, and equipment are available to manufacture parts
- Learn about electronic locking systems and access control solutions
- Learn differences between residential and commercial security
- Participate in peer reviews on designs
- Use product-development tools such as Creo and MS Project
- Collaborate with project teams and the Mechanical Engineering competency
- Participate in daily and regular team meetings
- Build a foundation for future opportunities with Allegion
- Pursuing a degree in a relevant discipline, such as Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering Technology
- Experience developing 3D models
- Familiarity with FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, GD&T, Tolerance Stack Analysis, and DFM/DFA
- Experience with mechanical testing techniques
- Experience or familiarity with Creo and MS Project
- Basic electronics understanding
- Demonstrated leadership ability and initiative
- Ability to work in both team and individual settings
- Resiliency and ability to adapt quickly
Effective listening, time management, and creative problem-solving techniques - Desire to learn, grow, and develop through business-impacting projects
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Demonstrates strong capabilities in Mechanical Engineering design and development, with proficiency in 3D modeling and product development tools such as Creo and MS Project. Possesses a foundational understanding of electronic systems and mechanical testing techniques, alongside effective collaboration and problem-solving skills.
