Senior Commercial Loan Administrator

• Act as a primary liaison with Commercial customers during all phases of onboarding new banking relationships
• Manage and monitor existing Commercial customer relationships on an ongoing, day-to-day, and transactional basis
• Partner with the Commercial Relationship Team to obtain and review information for underwriting, documentation, and closing of complex C&I, construction, and term loans, deposit accounts, and other services
• Set up, process, and monitor documents and files for package completion, customer specifications, and regulatory compliance
• Prepare data input sheets and provide information for boarding customer relationships on bank servicing systems
• Maintain files with required documentation for third-party review and prepare files for timely audits
• Work with attorneys and other financial or legal resources to negotiate accurate documents protecting the financial institution’s interests
• Set up and monitor loan and financial ticklers to ensure accuracy and timeliness
• Ensure closing conditions are met and loans close within required time frames; work directly with customers
• Review and resolve customer problems and issues regarding bank products and services
• Facilitate customer account maintenance and advance requests
• Perform GL Certification, including research, balancing, and certification
• Analyze property and liability insurance, title policies, title exceptions, and UCC searches for compliance with bank policy and procedure
• Maintain knowledge of applicable banking regulations and complete required training
• Coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as a subject matter expert when requested
• Foster Columbia’s corporate culture and perform other assigned duties

• More than 10 years of banking, loan administration, and documentation experience
• Highest level of specialized experience and knowledge of the commercial department/function
• Proficiency in preparing complicated reports and/or documents
• Solid loan administration experience with knowledge of complex lending structures, letters of credit, borrower-based lending, multi-phased construction, and multiple collateral properties
• Knowledge of real estate construction draw analysis, reconciliation, and disbursement
• Ability to analyze title insurance commitment reports, including title exceptions, and prepare title/escrow instructions
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to provide backup to the manager and provide direction to other associates as needed or requested
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups across the company to manage internal and external customer relationships
• Proficiency with personal computers and related software packages such as Word and Excel, and other business machines
• H.S. Diploma/GED (preferred)
• Bachelor's Degree in business, finance, or related discipline (preferred)
• Occasional travel

Demonstrates extensive experience in banking and loan administration, with a strong focus on managing commercial customer relationships and ensuring compliance with banking regulations. Proficient in analyzing complex lending structures and preparing detailed reports and documentation.
