- This position is compensated on a bi‑weekly pay cycle.
Position maintains electronic records for the Colorado Department of Corrections (CDOC) by utilizing the technical software package to scan, process, index, review, save, store, ensure quality control, research, and retrieve documentation in compliance with the standards and rules established for the protection of information. Utilize standard practices for identifying, sorting, and preparing the documents in order to effectively complete the scanning process.
PrimaryDuties
- Creates, merge, prepare, purge, scan, process, review, save, store, index and retrieve inmate files.
- Gather information for reports and files using appropriate research, resources and databases.
- Troubleshoot and report problems with processing transactions to the unit supervisor.
- Explain/train system rules and procedures to others.
- Ensure quality assurance and quality control to verify documents into the appropriate indexes, and add any necessary documents to a section/index of a file.
- Lift /move 40lbs. occasionally and 10lbs. regularly of legal boxes/files.

Data Specialist
Three (3) years of experience applying program rules and procedures for entry, retrieval, review, revision, and manipulation of data in computerized information databases. (Experience must be described in detail on the work experience portion of your application to receive credit. Any work experience less than full time will be prorated.
