ABODE HOSPICE is seeking a compassionate, grounded, and spiritually‑sensitive Chaplain in Colorado Springs, CO. Our Chaplains provide emotional and spiritual support to patients and families during end‑of‑life care. This role is an integral part of our interdisciplinary team, offering a non‑judgmental presence and care that honors the beliefs, values, and cultural backgrounds of those we serve.

• Conduct and ensure timely spiritual assessments for patients and families.
• Participate in developing individualized care plans to address spiritual needs.
• Provide direct spiritual support to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Serve as a liaison to community chaplains and spiritual counselors.
• Maintain accurate documentation of spiritual services and communications.
• Attend interdisciplinary meetings and contribute to care planning.
• Offer education and spiritual care guidance to the care team.
• Recruit and support community chaplains, spiritual counselors, and volunteers.
• Coordinate and lead memorial or funeral services as requested.
• Organize periodic memorials for staff, volunteers, and community partners.
• Assist in supervising spiritual care volunteers.

• Graduate of an accredited theology or chaplaincy program (BD, MDiv or equivalent theological degree).
• Experience working with death and dying; hospice experience preferred.
• Comfort in an interfaith setting.
• Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state or organization requirements and is in good working order.
• Ability to accept different lifestyles, cultures, beliefs and values.
• Knowledge of and commitment to hospice philosophy of care.
• Ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary group.
• Ability to network with community clergy and congregations.
