Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Medical Scheduler. As a Medical Scheduler, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office by efficiently managing patient appointments and providing administrative support. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in medical administration and patient service to contribute to the healthcare industry.

Responsibilities
  • Schedule patient appointments, ensuring optimal utilization of provider schedules.
  • Coordinate and confirm appointments through phone calls or electronic communication.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic medical record systems (EMR).
  • Verify insurance information and obtain necessary authorizations for procedures.
  • Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and scanning documents.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to ensure efficient patient flow.
  • Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and maintain confidentiality of patient information
Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a medical administrative support or as a medical receptionist or in a similar position is preferred
  • Strong administrative skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in using computer systems and EMR software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, eClinical

    Works).
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
  • Familiarity with insurance verification processes.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
