Responsibilities
SCREENING OF APPLICANTS BEGINS IMMEDIATELY AND CONTINUES UNTIL POSITION IS FILLED
About the Position: Days hours vary. This position is responsible for crisis evaluations, preauthorization requests, and coordination of admissions to Cedar Springs. The position consists of answering phone calls, conducting mental health evaluations, evaluating for involuntary commitments, making clinical recommendations for optimal level of care referrals and community adjustment, coordinating with community providers and referral sources, and facilitating internal admissions to Cedar Springs programs.
Needs to perform vitals, breathalyzer tests as well as temperature on each potential patient at time of evaluation. Immediate consideration for overnight schedules.

In accordance with Colorado state public health order, all healthcare workers must be vaccinated, and the Company must verify vaccine status. Pursuant to this public health order, the following modes constitute as proof of vaccination:
- an electronic entry in the Colorado Immunization Information System (CIIS); OR
- an immunization record from a licensed healthcare provider who has administered a COVID-19 vaccine to an individual who provides services for the facility or agency, specifying the vaccine administered, name and title of the person who administered the vaccine, address of the location where the vaccine was administered, and the date it was administered.
Exemptions

Requirements: Requires analytical skills, high level clinical skills, and knowledge of mental health statutes, ethical and legal practice implications. Requires knowledge and understanding of EMTALA regulations and state requirements for involuntary commitments. Requires organizational, verbal, interpersonal and customer service skills, grammar and spelling, the ability to read/comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, managers, regulatory agencies, etc.

Education:
