Cheyenne Mountain Resort opened in 1985 and sits on 25 acres of land. The 4-Star Full Service property is nestled in the lush greens of Southern Colorado Springs and oversees Impressive mountain views, along with exciting activities like golf, swimming, and tennis. These allow for the unique experience that you can only get at this resort.
Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 based on experience
Position OverviewAs Front Office Manager at Cheyenne Mountain Resort, your role is to foster a space where guests feel connected to the local culture, nature, and each other. As a leader, you are driven by the desire to inspire your team to achieve their highest potential, ensuring operational efficiency while delivering an unparalleled guest experience. You will build and lead a team that reflects these values, ensuring that every guest feels welcomed and cared for, from check-in to check-out.
You will be familiar with local attractions, cultural hotspots, and outdoor activities, ensuring that guests can immerse themselves in everything the area has to offer. Your role is to be both a hospitality expert and a local ambassador, creating meaningful connections with guests and providing them with personalized recommendations to experience the best of Colorado Springs. You’ll guide your team in curating an unforgettable guest experience, focusing on quality service, efficient operations, and community engagement.
Functions & Responsibilities
- Manage the Front Office ensuring alignment with Hyatt's brand values, delivering approachable and impeccable guest service, and implementing efficient processes that meet financial goals.
- Maintain a deep understanding of all CMR room features, amenities, packages, promotions, and availability, and train your team to provide the same level of knowledge.
- Provide support and oversight of the 3 rd party Bell/Valet company and ensure service aligns with Hyatt’s brand values and standards.
- Oversee scheduling, budgeting, and inventory for the Front Office team.
- Ensure financial procedures follow established policies, including handling cashier functions, upgrades, cancellations, and financial adjustments.
- Regularly inspect the lobby and front entry to ensure cleanliness, organization, and readiness for guest interactions.
- Monitor experiential touchpoints and quality of service and product delivery.
- Lead through strong communication and interpersonal skills, encouraging collaboration and mutual respect.
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members to deliver excellent service.
- Collaborate closely with other departments, including housekeeping, maintenance, food & beverage, and sales.
- At least 2 years of leadership experience in resort Front Office environments.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- A service-oriented mindset with exceptional customer service and sales abilities.
- Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to the brand’s authentic, approachable, and adventurous identity.
- Ability to work weekend, holiday, and evening shifts.
