As the Public Areas Attendant – Housekeeping, you will be responsible for the cleanliness of the Hotel’s public areas and back-of-house areas in accordance with departmental and hotel standards. You will assist in the efficient and smooth operations of the department in accordance with the established brand standards as per Hyatt International.
Working in a team of 60, you will support the Housekeeping Manager in the day to day operations as well as supporting the team to achieve our purpose.
This varied and dynamic role provides a chance to develop your Hospitality career within an international company; either in Australia or overseas.
Responsibilities- Maintain the cleanliness of public areas, corridors and surrounding back of house areas
- Ensure pantry doors are kept locked at all times
- Collection and dispose of rubbish at the end of each shift
- Ensure carpets are stain free through vacuuming, spot cleaning and shampooing
- Clean fixtures, glasses, mirrors and polish metal surfaces
- Replenish toiletries as necessary
- Ensure all soap dispensers and toilet paper are re-filled in all toilets of the hotels public areas including staff toilets
- Report any detailing for contract cleaners to housekeeping Management
- Report any lost and damaged items following the policy’s and proceduresguests.
- Previous experience in Housekeeping within a hotel environment (four or five-star hotel experience is preferred) or similar fast‑paced, cleaning services environment
- A strong attention to detail
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills
- The ability to act consistently with clear ethics and values in accordance to confidentially
- Superior customer service skills along with the capability of working both autonomously and as part of a team
- The ability to create a positive first impression with an understanding of the importance of 5‑star grooming standards
- The flexibility to work on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
