Cyber Tools Lead

Overview

Cyber Tools Specialist role focused on developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining cyber tools for compliance initiatives. Works with hardware engineers, software engineers, and test teams to ensure secure, compliant systems.

• Configure, troubleshoot and maintain Cyber Tools including but not limited to ACAS, ESS, EVAL/STIG, Arc Sight, Delinea and Elastic.
• Consolidate reports from Cyber Tools (ACAS, ESS, Arc Sight, EVAL/STIG) and gather data to support cyber compliance of CLAW systems.
• Perform assessments of information systems security requirements, evaluate current security posture, and recommend remediation priorities.
• Review information system infrastructure and application architecture to assess security requirements.
• Contribute to security planning, assessment, risk analysis, risk management, certification, and awareness activities for CLAW systems.
• Prepare documentation in support of patching and STIGs; understand vulnerabilities across SW/HW platforms and recommend mitigations.
• Coordinate with ISSO, O&M, and Cyber Vulnerability Management Team to meet cyber requirements.
• Lead planning, documentation, and mitigation for security controls to support cyber events (e.g., CVTs, CVPA, ATOs).
• Lead training and mentor tools engineers to maintain tool compliance with DoD and organizational standards.
• Engage with internal and external teams, customers, stakeholders, and leaders to execute tasks with minimal mission impact.

• Education/Training:
  Associate's degree in any Information Technology related field required.
• DoD 8570.01M IAT Level II certification required.
• Experience:
  
  10+ years of general full-time work experience; 4+ years in Cyber Security and/or IT.
• Familiarity with eMASS, CTOs, ATOs, POAMs.
• Experience consolidating reports from Cyber Tools (ACAS, ESS, Arc Sight, EVAL/STIG).
• Experience with STIGs, patching and Security Classification Guides.
• Security: US citizenship required; minimum DoD Secret Clearance.
• Physical: ability to work at a desk for extended periods; comply with PPE safety protocols; able to lift up to 20 pounds as needed.
