INNOVIM is seeking a Junior Linux System Administrator supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract.
The candidate will:
- Troubleshoot and sustain Linux based physical and virtual machines for the Missile Defense Space Center
- Administer VMware Tanzu and container Repositories/Registries
- Support network engineers, system engineers, cybersecurity engineers, and additional system administrators, to provide high quality, innovative engineering services to the Government customer
- Conduct daily system monitoring, system backup and disaster recovery, and application upgrades to ensure optimal and continuous system operations
- Manage and maintain task assignments by updating task tracking software with work notes, blockers, status, etc.
- Comply with organizational systems administration standard operating procedures
- Manage accounts and access to Linux systems and equipment
- Be responsible for ensuring system software installs, maintenance, break/fix activities, and cyber security mitigations are performed in accordance with established policies, procedures and service level agreements.
- Conduct functional, security, and connectivity testing to ensure continuing operability of Linux based infrastructure

- Have a strong understanding of system administration concepts
Basic Requirements:
- Must have 2 years of directly related experience in relevant business systems, operating systems, and servers and/or experience in light programming, project management of small initiatives, and troubleshooting
- Must have an active DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification such as CompTIA Security+ CE or higher
- Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance
This position is expected to pay $90,000 – $115,000 depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
