The Work
We are seeking a early career Software Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining scalable Dev Ops solutions and CI/CD pipelines that support efficient software delivery. The engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to enhance automation, reliability, and system performance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, build, implement and maintain CI/CD pipeline using tools such as Git Lab and Jenkins.
- Develop and maintain complex software applications in languages such as Python, Java, Bash, and Powershell.
- Implement solutions for an enterprise-scale network, including building Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Software-defined Networking (SDN) solutions to optimize network management.
- Develop and maintain documentation for all software, including CI/CD pipelines, architecture, configuration, and tooling guides.
- Develop and enhance automation scripts and services using Python or Java to improve Dev Ops workflows
- The candidate may be required to support critical activities outside of standard business hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
- Any other required tasks by the program

Basic Qualifications

Must have an 8140 Compliant Certification such as:
Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA, etc.
Qualified candidate must be able to obtain a DoD Interim Secret Security Clearance prior to starting this position. This requires ship.
Must maintain a valid US passport.
Must be able to travel to alternate work locations to execute job duties such as deployments.
Experience coding in various programming languages, including Python and Java, as well as scripting languages such as Bash and Powershell.
Understanding of object-oriented programming principles, API integration (particularly the REST API), and Git version control.
Ability to script and test automation of software tools.

Desired skills

Active Top Secret Security Clearance is a plus
Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and basic orchestration concepts
Must be an effective communicator with excellent writing and presentation skills using Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio drawing tools.
Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment with other highly motivated engineers as well as independently at times on large field projects.
