Job Description
Data Solution Developer/Engineer – Centennial, CO – 6 months
Senior level Vertica developer responsibilities for the development, testing, documentation, and turning things over.
Required Experience, Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
- Vertica design and architecture experience
- Solid understanding of Vertica cluster architecture (WOS, ROS)
- Experience designing segmentation strategies and sizing clusters
- Experience with Vertica in AWS and S3 (a plus)
- Experience with Vertica Performance tuning for load and consumption
- Perform bulk data loads from flat files to Vertica
- Projection design and implementation
- Partition swapping and designing good order by strategies
- Autosys or related job scheduling
- Strong SQL skills handling complex data management
- Strong communication skills
- Team collaboration
- Bring best practices of Vertica development to OFI
