What We're Doing

The Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2

BMC) Experimentation Lab develops and integrates new capabilities for the Missile Defense System. The team works in small agile groups on sensor/weapon integration, algorithm and user interface development, automated testing, cyber security, and other cutting‑edge missile defense technologies.

We are seeking a detail‑oriented System Administrator to support users in person, over secure phone, email, or instant message (IM). The role is customer‑facing and requires advanced customer‑service skills as well as strong IT troubleshooting. The Administrator will diagnose and resolve remote user issues daily, support MDA flight tests, and contribute to ongoing X‑Lab projects.

Location:

Schriever, Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO (100% onsite). The position may require up to 10% travel to customer sites in the U.S. and occasional overnight or weekend support for test events.

• Provide first‑line support for user‑level interactions and issues.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with remote Windows and Linux systems.
• Assist with integration of R&D systems into C2
  
  BMC and support flight test environments.

• Active Final SECRET clearance (required prior to starting).
• U.S. citizenship.
• DoD 8140 IAT Level II compliant certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CASP). If not held, must obtain within 90 days of start.
• Experience with Windows Server and Linux system administration.
• Experience supporting enterprise‑level users with complex technical issues.

• Experience using a help‑desk ticketing system such as Atlassian JIRA.
• Ability to develop documentation, including SOPs, using tools such as Atlassian Confluence.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (Power Shell, Bash, Python) and automation tools (Ansible).
• Object‑oriented coding experience (Java or Python) is a plus.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance; U.S. citizenship is mandatory.

Pay Range: $81,600 – $143,865 annually (excluding major metropolitan areas) with additional factors considered for final offer.
