Cybersecurity Development Engineer

Overview

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full-time Cyber Intel Analyst for the GPS Control Segment (GCS) team in Colorado Springs. The role supports the mission of delivering and sustaining reliable GPS capabilities to America’s warfighters, allies, and civilian users.

• Maintain the GPS Defensive Cyber Operations Tool Suite as a best-in-class solution.
• Assist the program with secure architecture design and resiliency.
• Identify, develop, and implement resilient countermeasures to reduce risk to the enterprise.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Experience with Linux.
• Experience with scripting or Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Awareness of Agile development practices.
• Current DoD 8570 baseline certification (e.g., Security+, CISSP, CEH, CySA+).
• Secret security clearance.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Eligibility for a government security clearance.

• Python programming.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Git Ops tools (Ansible, Git Lab, ArgoCD).
• Defensive Cyber Operations tools (Splunk, Snort, Zeek, or similar).
• Virtualized architectures (e.g., VMware).
• Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating system.
• Awareness of Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, or other networking products.

Occasional travel may be required to military installations in Colorado and California.

This position requires a secret government security clearance and U.S. citizenship.

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in selected states is $82,900 - $146,165. Salary may vary based on location and experience.
