Our NORAD Operations Group
Selected by the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s Strategic Warning and Surveillance Systems Division for Operations, Maintenance, and Sustainment (OM&S) of critical mission systems for NORAD Cheyenne Mountain Complex (NCMC) to support ITW/AA and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II).
Responsibilities- Evaluate, design, implement, and test the deployment of on-premises virtualization solutions.
- Work within an Agile Team to provide Infrastructure and Platform as a Service capability at software development and operational facilities.
- Work closely with vendor technical consultants to deploy critical systems.
- Provide input to project schedules, identify and mitigate risks, document lessons learned, and deliver regular updates to stakeholders.
This position is expected to pay $110,000-$125,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and relevant certifications.
This position will be filled and work onsite in Colorado Springs, CO.
QualificationsBasic Requirements:
- Must have an Active Secret Clearance
- 3+ years of general work experience
- 3+ years of directly related experience
- IAT Level II certification (e.g., Sec+)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in virtualization or a similar role
- Experience with VMware installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of Active Directory integration of virtualized products
- 2 years of VMware implementation/administration experience
Desired Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline
- Current VMware certification
- Experience installing and configuring the VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) suite
- Applied understanding of DISA STIG and hardening of virtualization for VMware
- Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Team-oriented with ability to collaborate with other teams
- Experience with Dell Server products and services
- Knowledge of deploying Virtual Desktops with Citrix and Horizon
