Colorado Springs Utilities is seeking an operationally focused, people‑centered Network Supervisor to lead our Network Enterprise Services (NES) team. This role is responsible for the design, operation, and evolution of core network infrastructure across enterprise, data center, communications room, and utility environments.
This role is ideal for a leader who thrives in complex, always‑active environments and is motivated by delivering reliable, secure, and scalable network infrastructure that supports critical utility operations.
As the NES Supervisor, you will lead a team responsible for end‑to‑end network infrastructure across logical and physical environments. Success requires strong network engineering expertise, cross‑functional leadership, and the ability to deliver large‑scale change while maintaining stability in a live environment.
How You’ll Make an Impact- Provide first‑level leadership for the NES team, including priorities, performance management, coaching, workforce planning, and accountability for outcomes
- Develop staff while reinforcing growth, operational discipline, and reliable support for critical infrastructure
- Drive major network platform migrations, upgrades, lifecycle work, and transformation efforts while protecting stability in live environments
- Establish and enforce engineering, documentation, change management, and operational standards across logical and physical network environments
- Balance incidents, ongoing operations, and project delivery while maintaining service continuity
- Coordinate with engineering, cybersecurity, operations, facilities, and business partners to align priorities and deliver outcomes
- Oversee network connectivity and readiness across enterprise systems, OT/SCADA environments, data centers, communications rooms, colocation facilities, and external partners
- Oversee structured cabling, rack and cabinet standards, physical network infrastructure, and facility‑based readiness across CSU locations
- Manage vendor relationships, statements of work, contracts, lifecycle planning, capital delivery, and external resources supporting network work
- Ensure network security controls, segmentation, firewall standards, audit requirements, and OT/IT cybersecurity expectations are applied consistently
- Support disaster recovery, business continuity, and resilience planning for network‑dependent systems and services
- Guide incident response and escalations, ensuring timely decisions and coordinated resolution
- Own capital and operating budget planning and provide input to technology roadmaps for network infrastructure and related services
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field—or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in network engineering, infrastructure, or closely related technology environments
- Experience with vendor management, lifecycle planning, capital delivery, and coordination of external resources supporting network work
- Experience leading major network platform migrations, upgrades, and lifecycle transitions while maintaining stability in live production environments
- Experience leading network engineering teams responsible for production enterprise, data center, or critical infrastructure networks
- Ability to work across IT, cybersecurity, operations, facilities, and business partners to align priorities and deliver outcomes
- Technical depth to guide network design, operational standards, escalations, and infrastructure decisions across complex environments
