Position OverviewThe Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2
BMC) program is a key component of the Missile Defense System. It supports the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to plan, monitor, and control missile defense operations. This role supports test and verification of missile defense capabilities.
- Assist software development personnel in investigating and resolving issues.
- Develop configurations to support testing and prototyping of developing systems.
- Create and modify scripts to analyze input, internal, and output message data.
- Troubleshoot issues in both testing and prototypes.
- Create troubleshooting procedures and workaround documents.
- Review and provide feedback on system specifications, development, test, and network documents.
- Represent the Integration team.
- Automate scripts to configure and maintain remote hosts.
- Active DoD 8140 IAT Level II or higher certification (e.g., Security+, GSEC, SSCP, CISSP).
- Current, active Top Secret security clearance with eligibility for SCI.
- Relevant degree or experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 8 years of experience.
- Master’s degree and 6 years of experience (preferred).
- 12 years of experience sufficient for a degree alternative.
- Experience with Radiant Mercury Configuration, Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) integration.
- Experience configuring, deploying, and testing Radiant Mercury rules.
- Ability to support CDS implementation, configuration, and maintenance, including travel to remote locations.
- Experience integrating JEMINI Lab test suites.
- Excellent communication, writing and presentation skills; proficient with PowerPoint and Visio.
- Collaborative team work and independent large field projects capability.
- Network Management and Monitoring Systems experience.
- Knowledge of DoD security practices (STIG compliance, accreditation).
- Proven network traffic analysis, diagnostics, and troubleshooting experience.
- Experience with Radiant Mercury strongly desired.
- Experience planning and supporting deployment of network infrastructure.
- Prior C2
BMC network experience. - Experience with Ansible or other automation tools; scripting experience.
