Northrop Grumman Space Systems—Missile Defense Integration offers an excellent opportunity for a Computer Operations Analyst – Regional COSA (26-118) to join our team of talented and diverse professionals. Located at Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO, this role is essential to supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at the strategic, regional, and operational levels. This position requires on‑site work and does not provide relocation assistance.

Position Overview

The Command, Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2

BMC) program is a crucial component of the Missile Defense System. It is an operational system that enables the U.S. president, the secretary of defense, and combatant commanders to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, monitor the battle, and dynamically control networked sensors and weapon systems to meet global and regional mission objectives. C2

BMC supports layered missile defense capabilities and acts as a force multiplier by integrating autonomous sensor and weapon systems.

Essential Functions
  • Provide first‑level technical support to the warfighter and perform initial troubleshooting of all local C2

    BMC hardware, software, and networks.
  • Document and report all events or issues to the CWO and receive tasks and direction from the CCC for all operations, tests, and real‑world events.
  • Assist with hardware and software installations as directed by the local SMEs and create and maintain user accounts as directed by the local ISSO.
  • Maintain proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Perform additional duties and assignments as required.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university and 2 years of experience; OR Master’s degree with 0 years of relevant work experience; OR 6 years of relevant work experience may be considered an alternative to a degree.
  • Current, active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA‑Security, CySA+, CND, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, CASP+ CE, CISSP, etc.) at time of application, required to start, and responsible for maintaining certification throughout contract period.
  • Current, active in‑scope DoD‑issued Secret security clearance at time of application, required to start with the ability to obtain Top Secret and be eligible to be read onto SCI security clearance.
  • Strong background and experience in operations and maintenance of large‑scale computer and communications systems and networking environments.
  • Sound background and experience in system and/or network administration, including Linux, Windows, Cisco, and Juniper.
  • Strong background and experience in troubleshooting hardware and software components.
  • Willingness to work rotating 24/7 shift, including nights, weekends, and occasional substitute rotations during off‑shifts.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active, in‑scope DoD‑issued Top Secret security clearance at time of application, with eligibility to be read onto SCI, is strongly preferred.
  • Experience and knowledge of C2

    BMC System or Missile Defense Systems.
