Northrop Grumman Space Systems-Missile Defense Integration offers an excellent opportunity for a Principal Cyber Systems Engineer - X-Lab Cybersecurity Engineer (26-245) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. Located at Schriever Space Force Base, CO, this role is essential for supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at the strategic, regional, and operational levels. This position does not provide relocation assistance and requires on-site work with no remote options.

Position Overview:

The Command, Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2

BMC) program is a vital part of the Missile Defense System. It acts as an essential operational tool that allows the U.S. president, the secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at the strategic, regional, and operational levels to plan ballistic missile defenses systematically, monitor the battle collectively, and dynamically control networked sensors and weapons systems to meet global and regional mission goals.

BMC supports layered missile defense systems that deliver an optimized response to threats across all ranges and flight phases. It functions as a force multiplier by connecting, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensors, weapon systems, and operations at both global and regional levels to improve performance. C2

BMC is crucial for all grounds and flight tests that verify and demonstrate the current and future capabilities of missile defense systems. The selected candidate will be part of the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications Experimentation Laboratory (C2

BMC X-Lab), which is a very fast paced and dynamic environment. The X-Lab is responsible for developing and integrating future-capability prototypes for the Missile Defense System, including Sensor/Weapon Integration, Algorithm Development, User Interface Development and other critical leading-edge missile defense technologies.

Essential Functions:

* Responsible for tuning and optimizing cybersecurity tools such as ESS, Elastic, ConfigOS, and Tanium to enhance system performance and threat detection capabilities

* Create custom dashboards to visualize security data

* Integrate various security products, ensuring seamless communication and data flow across the infrastructure

* Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to aforementioned tools, as well as managing upgrades and deployments to ensure the latest features and security patches are implemented effectively

Basic Qualifications:

Please note your updated security clearance and IAT/relevant certifications on your resume, if applicable.
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Cybersecurity, or related discipline preferred from an accredited university and 5 years of experience, or a Master's degree in a related discipline and 3 years of experience, or 9 years of related experience instead of a degree may be considered

* Applicants must have a current active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start

* DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher ( Security+ CE, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, CCNA Security , etc.) is required to start

* Experience with Windows/RHEL System Admin including installing, tuning & troubleshooting Cyber Tools to include ESS/HBSS, ConfigOS, Splunk/Elastic, etc.

* Experience configuring, running and scripting audit tools

* Knowledge of Software Assurance (SwA) static and dynamic code analysis (e.g. Fortify) What We Can Offer You:
