Northrop Grumman Space Systems-Missile Defense Integration offers an excellent opportunity for a Principal Computer Systems Analyst (26-319) to join our team of skilled and diverse professionals. Based in Colorado Springs, CO, or Huntsville, AL, this role is essential to supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at the strategic, regional, and operational levels. This position does not provide relocation assistance and requires on-site work with no remote options.

Position Overview:

The C2

BMC program is a vital element of the Missile Defense System, providing a crucial operational platform for the U.S. president, the secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and tactical levels. It enables systematic planning of missile defense operations, real-time monitoring of battle progress, and active control of networked sensors and weapon systems to meet regional and global mission goals.

C2

BMC offers a layered missile defense capability, delivering optimized responses across all threat ranges and flight phases. It functions as a force multiplier by connecting, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems at both global and local levels, thereby enhancing overall performance. Additionally, C2

BMC plays a key role in ground and flight tests that verify and demonstrate the missile defense system's current and future capabilities. It collaborates with the C2

BMC Regional Applications Analysis team and the C2

BMC Chief Analyst.

Essential Functions:

* Perform analysis, root-cause troubleshooting, scenario support, and behavior assessments of C2

BMC software across development, ground tests, and operations
* Use automated tools and apply manual techniques to analyze software capabilities and behaviors in an integrated environment
* Coordinate with cross-functional teams
* Functional teams and Subject Matter Experts collaborate to determine analytical methods, create scenarios, resolve anomalies, and provide actionable insights to customers and stakeholders

Basic Qualifications:

Please list your current security clearance and IAT or relevant certifications on your resume, if applicable.
* A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university, along with 5 years of experience; or a Master's degree in a related field with 3 years of relevant work experience; or 9 years of relevant work experience may be considered as an alternative to a degree

* Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start

* Willingness to travel 10% of the time for business needs
* Proven experience producing analytical reports on complex systems and algorithms (performance, behavior, and functionality)

* Ability to use MATLAB or a comparable language (e.g., Python) for prototyping, data visualization, scripting, data manipulation, and parsing

* Ability to use spreadsheets, databases, and Linux command-line tools for hands-on data analysis and verification

* Experience with statistical methods, time-series analysis, and data visualization to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies

* Excellent analytical abilities and the ability to clearly present complex technical concepts to engineers, stakeholders, and customers

* Knowledge of systems and software engineering processes, principles, and lifecycle stages

* Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, combined with the ability to convey complex technical ideas clearly

* Self-motivated and collaborative, thrive in fast-paced environments, and can easily switch between high-priority tasks

Preferred Qualifications:

* Background in missile defense battle management, IR/RF sensor tracking, intercept engagements, space domain awareness, or command-and-control systems
