Development, Security, and Operations (Dev Sec Ops ) Engineer
Auria is actively seeking a Development, Security, and Operations (Dev Sec Ops ) Engineer, to support the development of the Wideband Global Satellite Communications (WGS) Global SATCOM Satellite Configuration Control Element (GSCCE). The ideal candidate will perform Dev Sec Ops tasks that design and implement solutions to build, test, and deploy containerized microservices in a fast-paced environment for providing an automated deployment and testing solution for a cloud-built and on-premises deployed software factory.
This role is on-site in Colorado Springs, CO.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO:
- Responsible for developing and enhancing continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) operations in multiple cloud service environments
- Support software quality efforts associated with product deliveries, conduct ongoing lifecycle maintenance of the Dev Sec Ops toolchain, and implement upgrades to the software factory as needed
- Conduct automated system testing, integration, and deployment using Dev Sec Ops tools and methods
- Recommend and implement upgrades and modifications to Dev Sec Ops workflows and tools/products
- Occasional CONUS and OCONUS travel to support on-site GSCCE installations
WHAT THE TEAM REQUIRES:
- Engineer Level 2:
Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of relevant experience, Master's degree and no experience - Engineer Level 3:
Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of relevant experience, Master's degree and 4+ years of relevant - Ability to obtain a U.S. Government SECRET security clearance (requires U.S. Citizenship)
- Strong programming skills in Bash, YAML, Python, Power Shell, and AzureCLI
- Experience using Git Lab, Ansible, Terraform, Nexus, and Jenkins
- Experience using AWS cloud and GCC High
- Experience with planning or supporting planning missions over a SATCOM constellation
- Experience with Spacecraft configuration and SATCOM resource allocation
- Experience using application security concepts and vulnerability remediation techniques
- Experience working within an agile system development framework, conducting engineering tasks for a complex system
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage numerous demonstration events at the same time
- Excellent verbal, written, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team
- Proficiency with M.S. Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

WHAT THE TEAM PREFERS:
- Current U.S. Government SECRET security clearance (required U.S. Citizenship)
- Experience with software development, test automation, and system automation that supports the development of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Configuration as Code (CaC), and Security as Code (SaC)
- Expertise with a modern software factory's CI/CD processes, tools, and technologies. This includes knowledge of technologies such as Git Lab, Ansible, Terraform, Nexus, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of secure software development methodologies and implementing full-stack infrastructure with a Security First mindset
- Knowledge of security standards such as NIST 800-171, STIG Compliance, and Ansible Lockdown
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum team using tools to assist system development, such as Jira and Confluence, is highly desirable
PAY TRANSPARENCY:
The salary offered will be based on the selected candidate's qualifications - skills, education & experience - and the position level. $70,000 - $135,000
