The instructors will be instrumental in training guardians to be able to detect anomalies, analyze complex systems, and reinforce network security to safeguard high‑value missions. - Lead course development, updates, and primary instruction for the 69 Cyberspace Squadron (CYS) training.
- Transform existing mission system documentation into formal courses that are ISD compliant.
- Develop, review, and maintain Programs of Instruction (POI), lesson plans, practical exercises, assessments, student materials, and courseware.
- Serve as the Cyber subject matter expert, ensuring curriculum accuracy, relevancy, and alignment with evolving MD 9 Cyber requirements.
- Instruct guardians how to analyze network behavior, investigate anomalies, and identify vulnerabilities to recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain close coordination with mission partners to ensure training reflects current operational needs.
- Assist with policy development and additional tasks as needed.
- Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility at time of application
- Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience. Master's degree is a plus.
- IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+, CCNA Security, GSEC).
- Familiarity with DAFH 36-2675, instructional systems design (ISD), ADDIE methodology, or formal military instructor certification programs
- Ability to teach in a classroom setting, have strong communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to convey complex concepts effectively to facilitate an interactive learning experience.
- Proficiency in creating training materials using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with network defense technologies (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection).
- Proficient in network protocol analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark, tcpdump) and SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Kibana).
- Experience in vulnerability scanning, incident response, and threat hunting.
- Familiarity with Linux-based server and user environments, including troubleshooting and security configurations.
- Familiarity with DoD cyber security frameworks (e.g., RMF, NIST 800‑53) and system defense‑in‑depth architectures.
- Preferred:
Advanced certifications such as CISSP, OSCP, CEH, other GIAC certifications.
In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $125,000 to $140,000; however, Sigmatech considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, experience, education/training, key skills, location and often contractual requirements.
