Information Technology/Information Assurance (IT/IA) Specialist I 24-7Location: Schriever AFB, CO
Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI [Required] (Must be able to obtain a CI Poly)
Job Type: Full-Time
Target Salary Range*:$105,000 - $105,500
* This represents the potential salary range for this position depending on education level, years of experience and/or certifications in addition to other position specific requirements which may impact salary
Position OverviewThe IT/IA Specialist I provides day-to-day support for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Special Access Program (SAP) activities within SAPs supporting Department of Defense (DoD) agencies, including HQ Air Force, the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), and Military Compartments efforts.
Key ResponsibilitiesSystem Administration and Configuration
- Establish complex operational software configuration controls and system interfaces for assigned computer systems.
- Maintain file servers, firewalls, network access, security monitoring systems, and system documentation as required.
- Prepare systems for operational use and support operational testing.
- Perform hardware and software system configurations, upgrades, and modifications.
- Perform system and network appliance patching activities.
- Perform account creations, changes, and deletions across multiple authorization boundaries.
- Review, prepare, and update authorization packages.
- Notify the customer of changes that may affect authorization accreditation.
- Conduct the cybersecurity portion of the self-inspection checklist.
- Review and provide technical and cybersecurity coordination on all Bodies of Evidence that make up the authorization package.
- Identify vulnerabilities and implement countermeasures.
- Ensure information systems and network appliances are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with security policies and practices.
- Analyze and troubleshoot system anomalies to ensure optimum equipment performance.
- Perform Help Desk and troubleshooting activities.
- Provide external information system client support.
- Perform Video Teleconferencing (VTC) system administration, scheduling, and configuration.
- Assist with media control and accountability activities.
- Perform Communications Security (COMSEC) account and equipment management activities.
Experience
- 2–5 years of related experience, including prior experience in roles such as System/Network Administrator or Information Technology/Assurance Specialist. [Required]
- Bachelor's degree or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree. [Required]
