Cyberspace Warfare Weapon System Lead
The United States Space Force (USSF) Headquarters (HQ) Combat Forces Command (CFC) Operations, Plans, and Force Generation (S3579) Space Control Operations Division (S3C) at Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado is searching for a Cyberspace Warfare Weapon System Lead (NH-0343-03, GS 12/13 equivalent).
Description:
We are seeking a Cyberspace Warfare Weapon System Lead (Principal Cyber Warfare SME) to direct full-lifecycle defensive and offensive cyberspace operations (DCO/DCO-S and OCO/OCW) and sustainment support across U.S. Space Force (USSF) mission systems, space vehicles, ground infrastructure, and Special Access Program (SAP) environments. In this senior technical leadership role, the candidate will drive advanced cyber architecture development, manage the integration of analytic and defensive tools into legacy systems, oversee Capability-Based Assessments (CBAs), and maintain end-to-end program performance across technical, schedule, and budget baselines to safeguard critical space capabilities and deny adversary exploitation.
Serving as the primary technical advisor across joint, inter-agency, coalition, and industry mission partners-including USSPACECOM, USCYBERCOM, STARCOM, CFC, AFRL, and FFRDCs-the lead will leverage Special Operations Forces (SOF) tradecraft, cyber intelligence, and space threat analytics to shape operational planning, Joint/USSF cyberspace doctrine, and decision-quality executive briefings for senior leadership.
The ideal candidate is an accomplished Cyberspace Warfare Subject Matter Expert (SME) with extensive operational experience directing full-lifecycle defensive and offensive cyber operations (DCO/OCO) across space systems, tactical networks, and Special Access Program (SAP) environments. You bring proven technical leadership in space vehicle cybersecurity, advanced architecture integration, and capability-based requirements development, combined with the seasoned ability to translate complex cyber threat intelligence into decision-quality strategic assessments and executive doctrine for senior leaders.
Operating seamlessly across Joint, Inter-agency, and Special Operations Forces (SOF) stakeholders-including CFC, USSPACECOM, and USCYBERCOM-you are a proactive problem-solver and mission commander capable of defending critical space control capabilities, executing rigorous program baselines, and maintaining an active TS/SCI clearance with SAP eligibility to safeguard high-consequence national security space assets.
