Summary

This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It is in the Supervision/Management Work Category at the Expert Work Level within the DISA CES Occupational Structure.

  Local salary ranges from $150,119 to $195,157
• Cheyenne Mountain AFB, CO:
  Local salary ranges from $151,850 to $197,200

• Develops, implements, and ensures compliance with plans, policies, standards, infrastructures, and architectures that establish the framework for the management of programs assigned to the Branch and Division.
• Studies organizational functions and processes to optimize mission accomplishment and resource utilization. Directs or recommends the reallocation of resources to effectively meet changing environments and priorities.
• Provides conceptual and technical guidance and advice on complex technical and operational matters related to division functions.
• Directs and oversees studies and analyses of operational changes that significantly influence division functions and operational support.
• Leads joint committees of senior members from DISA and external organizations. Exercises authority to select group representation, establish memberships, and provide strategic direction to accomplish key organizational goals.
• Executes operational and administrative functions, including establishing goals, evaluating performance, and implementing policy changes. Assesses resource needs and coordinates with DISA staff, subordinate centers, and external organizations.
• Assesses network incidents and restores communications supporting Combatant Commanders, DoD, non-DoD agencies, and Joint Staff. Directs, develops, and implements standard processes to support the critical operations mission area.

• In accordance with the DoD 8140 policy series, the position is subject to completing Foundational Qualifications in 9 months and completing Residential Qualification requirements overall in 12 months.
• This position has been designated as "Mission Essential." Incumbent will be required to report to work or relocate to a new duty location, within the United States, in times of local/national emergency.
• Employee is subject to recall or call back during off-shift hours, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, if required by upper management.
• This position is in the Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It is being recruited under 10 U.S.C. 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system.
• If you are a current Federal Career/Career-Conditional employee, you will be placed on an Excepted appointment.
• This position is covered under DoD Manual 8140 which will be subject to future Cyber Workforce requirements as defined by the Manual.
• Individuals tentatively selected for drug testing designated positions at the Defense Information Systems Agency will be required to submit to urinalysis for illegal drugs prior to appointment or placement.
• This is a covered position and the person selected for this position must complete an OGE Form 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report within 30 days of appointment pursuant to 5 CFR (b) (DoD 5500.7).
• This position requires eligibility for a Top Secret clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI).

Qualifying Experience

To qualify at the GG-15 grade level, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position.
