Product Security Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Product Security Engineer to support a company focused on missile defense, command and control systems, and national security technology programs. This position is ON-SITE in Colorado Springs, CO. The Product Security Engineer will support cybersecurity engineering, vulnerability management, and security validation efforts for a critical defense platform. • Partner with Cyber Engineering teams to implement, validate, and test cybersecurity solutions across a command and control platform.
• Coordinate cybersecurity test activities with testing organizations, review test plans, execute testing, and brief leadership on findings and recommendations.
• Support vulnerability management activities, including IAVM ticket processing, CTO compliance, CVE remediation, and vendor patch integration.
• Apply, validate, and maintain DISA STIG configurations and security controls in accordance with RMF and DoD cybersecurity requirements.
• Support Agile development teams by reviewing security requirements, validating test cases, participating in Scrum ceremonies, and providing actionable cybersecurity feedback.

• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information assurance, security engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with vulnerability management, patch management, multi-factor authentication, host-based security, intrusion detection, security event management, system scanning, and defense-in-depth methodologies.
• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance required.
• Active DoD 8140 IAT Level II Certification (Security+ or higher) required.
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.

• Salary Range: $130,000 - $150,000 depending on experience
