- Missile Defense Integration offers an excellent opportunity for a Sr Principal Systems Administrator
- Global Ops Shift Lead (26-380) to join our team of skilled and diverse professionals. Based at Schriever Space Force Base, CO, this role is essential to supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at the strategic, regional, and operational levels.
This position does not provide relocation assistance and requires on-site work with no remote options.
Position OverviewThe Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2
BMC) program is a key component of the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to plan ballistic missile defense operations systematically, collectively monitor the battle, and dynamically control networked sensors and weapon systems to achieve global and regional mission goals.

BMC supports layered missile defense capabilities that enable an optimized response to threats across all ranges and flight phases. It serves as a force multiplier by networking, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations, both globally and regionally, to improve performance. C2
BMC is essential for all ground and flight tests that verify and demonstrate the current and future capabilities of missile defense systems.
The Global Shift Lead reports to the Global Operations Lead and oversees all C2
BMC-Global (C2
BMC-G) operations, including health monitoring and status reporting.
- Operational Oversight:
Manage daily C2
BMC-G activities to guarantee the availability, quality, and security of services vital for mission systems, command and control (C2), and information sharing. Work closely with the C2
BMC Regional CWO and the C2
BMC Command Center (CCC) Lead - Reporting & Decision Support:
Ensure all reports are accurate, keep leadership informed, recommend appropriate courses of action, and maintain real-time status of all systems - Integrity & Training:
Preserve operational integrity by ensuring crew members are properly trained, certified, and capable of executing assigned missions. Manage shift staffing, conduct thorough changeover briefings, and verify proper manning levels. - Shift Requirements:
Operate on a rotating 12-hour schedule that may involve nights, weekends, and off-shift substitutions; eventual 24x7 coverage is anticipated depending on mission demands - Additional Duties:
