About The Role Peraton is delivering advanced mission planning, digital engineering, and command-and-control capabilities supporting the U.S. Government's space communications enterprise. Our team uses modern MBSE practices to translate mission needs into precise, traceable, and verifiable technical requirements across a complex, multi-system environment.
As a Digital Engineer / MBSE Analyst
, you will support the technical planning, development, and integration of digital-twin capabilities that advance program goals and mission outcomes. You will help shape concepts, architectures, and model-based engineering artifacts that ensure digital-twin solutions are aligned, interoperable, and technically sound across the broader system landscape. This position may be supported from any of the following locations:
Colorado Springs, CO;
Arlington, VA; or Seal Beach, CA.

What you'll do:

• Help lead technical planning and execution of digital-twin efforts in support of program objectives.
• Support the development of digital-twin concepts, architectures, use cases, and technical roadmaps in collaboration with engineering and program teams.
• Assist in adapting Peraton Labs' agentic AI and digital-twin capabilities to meet program-specific needs.
• Define component-level requirements derived from operational needs, systems-engineering objectives, system behaviors, and stakeholder priorities.
• Ensure compliance with model-interoperability approaches, data-exchange patterns, fidelity expectations, and integration guidance across digital-twin and simulation environments.
• Work with data, AI/ML, software, and systems-engineering teams to identify and integrate required data sources, dependencies, model inputs and outputs, assumptions, and validation methods.
• Identify technical risks, dependencies, sequencing concerns, integration challenges, and capability gaps associated with digital-twin development.
• Ensure digital-twin efforts remain aligned with program objectives, Model-Based Systems Engineering practices, CTO advanced-analytics initiatives, and stakeholder needs.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Associates degree and 7+ years of experience in a Systems Engineering related field; OR bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cloud Computing, or related field and 5+ years of experience in a Systems Engineering related field; OR a master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cloud Computing, or related field and 3+ years of experience in a systems engineering related field.
  
  Additional four (4) years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
• This position requires the candidate possess a minimum of Top Secret clearance with ability to upgrade to TS/SCI. The candidate must maintain the clearance
• 2+ years of experience applying MBSE in complex system environments.
