The CWO reports to the C2
BMC Command Center (CCC) Operations Lead and provides day‑to‑day oversight, guidance, and leadership for 125+ personnel
, including 24x7 CCC crews and globally dispersed assets. You will own the operational picture of the global C2
BMC enterprise
, ensuring system health, readiness, and secure command‑and‑control for missile defense operations and information sharing.
This position requires 24x7 shift work
. The selected candidate will be assigned to a rotating 12-hour shift based on mission requirements, with substitute rotation coverage (including nights and weekends) as needed.
- Provide operations floor leadership for 24x7 CCC operations, maintaining floor integrity and a disciplined, mission‑focused environment
- Oversee and manage all C2
BMC operations, including monitoring and reporting on the health and status of the global C2
BMC enterprise - Direct Operations & Maintenance (O&M), network monitoring, and network defense activities for C2
BMC mission systems to ensure availability, quality, and security of services - Make day‑to‑day operational decisions on the CCC floor to support C2
BMC mission systems, command and control (C2), and information sharing - Ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and clarity of reports, keep leadership informed, and recommend courses of action for emerging issues or mission needs
- Maintain a current, comprehensive picture of the status of all systems at all times
- Ensure crew members are appropriately trained, certified, and mission‑ready, and that shifts are properly manned; conduct thorough changeover briefs
- Provide emerging oversight support to the Global C2
BMC Operations floor, advising on actions being taken and requirements needed to support global mission execution - Direct crews to troubleshoot network issues and support cyber‑defensive operations as needed
- Work closely with the Global Shift Lead, CCC Lead, and government leadership to coordinate operations and communicate impacts, risks, and needs
- Perform other related duties and assignments as required in support of C2
BMC mission success

- A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university, along with 8 years of experience; or a Master’s degree in a related field with 6 years of relevant work experience; or 12 years of relevant work experience may be considered as an alternative to a degree
