Davidson is seeking a Scrum Master in Colorado Springs, CO.

Job Responsibilities
  • Serve as the Scrum Master for one or more cross-functional Agile development teams.
  • Facilitate daily Scrum meetings, sprint planning, sprint reviews/demos, retrospectives, backlog refinement, and other Agile ceremonies.
  • Coach team members, Product Owners, and stakeholders on Scrum principles, Agile practices, and continuous improvement.
  • Promote self-organization, accountability, transparency, and collaboration within Agile teams.
  • Identify, track, and remove team impediments and blockers.
  • Escalate issues that cannot be resolved at the team level and coordinate with program leadership as necessary.
  • Work closely with Product Owners to maintain healthy, prioritized, and actionable product backlogs.
  • Help teams develop realistic sprint goals, commitments, and delivery plans.
  • Monitor sprint progress, team capacity, velocity, burn-up/burn-down trends, and other relevant Agile metrics.
  • Identify delivery risks and work with technical and program leadership to develop mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate dependencies between software, systems engineering, modeling and simulation, integration, and test teams.
  • Facilitate communication between development teams and external stakeholders.
  • Support planning and execution across multiple Agile teams when program-level coordination is required.
  • Maintain Agile boards, dashboards, metrics, and program documentation using tools such as Gitlab, JIRA and Confluence.
  • Ensure sprint and release information is accurately communicated to stakeholders.
  • Support release planning, increment planning, and coordination of major software deliveries.
  • Facilitate technical demonstrations and sprint reviews for government and program stakeholders.
  • Help teams identify and implement process improvements that increase quality, productivity, and predictability.
  • Identify recurring issues, bottlenecks, and organizational impediments and drive corrective actions.
  • Promote engineering best practices, quality standards, automation, and continuous integration within the team's development process.
  • Support risk, issue, action, and dependency tracking.
  • Coordinate with Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Test & Evaluation, Configuration Management, and Program Management organizations.
  • Assist with program planning, status reporting, and milestone tracking as needed.
  • Support preparation for customer meetings, program reviews, technical interchange meetings, and demonstrations.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation and records required by the program.
  • Help ensure Agile processes remain aligned with contractual, security, quality, and organizational requirements.
  • Support additional program and Agile transformation activities as assigned.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-7 years of experience working in Agile software development or engineering environments.
  • Demonstrated experience serving as a Scrum Master for software or systems engineering teams.
  • Strong knowledge of Scrum, Agile, and Lean principles and practices.
  • Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and working with cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and remove impediments.
  • Experience managing team dependencies, risks, issues, and delivery commitments.
  • Experience with Agile project-management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Azure Dev Ops, Rally, or similar platforms.
  • Strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with engineers, technical leadership, program management, customers, and government stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, technically complex environment.
  • Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain any required security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship may be required due to the nature of the work and access to classified information.
