Network Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Network Engineer to support a mission-critical defense program focused on command and control, battle management, communications, and ballistic missile defense operations. This position is ON-SITE in Colorado Springs, CO. The Network Engineer will support the implementation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of enterprise network infrastructure across complex LAN/WAN environments. • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls in multi-vendor environments (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, and Palo Alto).
• Monitor network performance, identify connectivity, latency, and packet loss issues, and perform root cause analysis to resolve incidents.
• Implement and support networking technologies including VLANs, OSPF, BGP, GRE tunnels, UDP multicast, WAN optimization, and TCP/IP network architectures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support network upgrades, installations, infrastructure enhancements, and operational projects.
• Travel to remote sites to perform network installations, lead troubleshooting efforts, and provide status updates to program stakeholders, including support during evenings and weekends when required.

• 3+ years of experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure, network operations, and troubleshooting in production environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco and Juniper routing and switching technologies.
• Experience with firewalls including Juniper, Fortinet, and Palo Alto platforms.
• IAT Level II Certifications, CCNA or JNCIA.
• Active Secret Security Clearance.

• Salary Range: $150,000 - $175,000 depending on experience
