We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Paralegal to support our leadership team in managing our commercial real estate leases, acquisitions, and corporate documentation. This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with executive leadership and play a key role in supporting our retail, office, land and mixed‑use development projects.
What You’ll Do- Draft, manage and track commercial leases, amendments, and letters of intent
- Coordinate and track real estate transactions and closings
- Maintain legal and lease documentation across our portfolio
- Work closely with executives, accounting, development, and property management teams
- Support title, closing, and exchange processes
- Ensure accurate document storage and compliance
- 7+ years of paralegal experience in commercial real estate
- Strong understanding of leases, contracts, and transaction processes
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

POSITION SUMMARYNorwood Development Group is seeking a highly experienced Senior Paralegal to support complex commercial real estate transactions, leasing, acquisitions, corporate documentation, and legal coordination. This role will serve as a key legal operations partner to executive leadership and outside counsel. The ideal candidate has extensive commercial real estate experience, strong contract drafting skills, and the ability to independently manage transaction workflows from LOI through closing.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Commercial Leasing & Contract Oversight- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial leases, amendments, renewals, and related agreements.
- Review tenant redlines and coordinate revisions with executives and counsel.
- Prepare lease summaries and financial tracking reports for internal distribution.
- Interpret lease provisions and provide guidance to property management and accounting teams.
- Track critical lease dates, exclusives, restrictions, and compliance requirements.
- Assist with drafting and review of purchase and sale agreements.
- Coordinate due diligence materials, title commitments, and closing documentation.
- Manage transaction timelines, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Support 1031 exchange documentation and coordination.
- Liaise with title companies and external counsel through closing.
- Maintain corporate records and internal loan documentation.
- Draft deeds of trust, releases, promissory notes, and related real estate instruments.
- Coordinate legal notices, bankruptcies, defaults, and dispute‑related documentation.
- Maintain and update legal templates and standardized forms.
- Oversee document management systems and ensure accurate file organization.
- Improve internal legal workflows and transaction tracking.
- Support implementation of task tracking tools and cross‑department coordination.
- Bachelor’s degree and Paralegal Certificate preferred.
- 7+ years of commercial real estate paralegal experience required.
- Strong knowledge of lease drafting and commercial transactions.
- Experience coordinating real estate closings and title processes.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Notary Public certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
- Highly trusted, discreet, and dependable.
- Comfortable managing legal documentation without heavy supervision.
- Experienced in retail and mixed‑use development environments.
- Process‑oriented with strong documentation discipline.
- Able to anticipate executive team needs and proactively manage deadlines.
