Hourly Pay Range: $41.12 - $49.36/hr

Job Summary:
The Prosecuting Attorney is responsible for prosecuting criminal cases in Municipal Court, managing complaints, defendants, attorneys, and witnesses, and ensuring effective case resolution in a timely manner. This position provides critical support due to a current attorney on military leave, maintaining the workload and quality within the Prosecution Division.

Duties & Responsibilities:


Prosecute criminal cases in Municipal Court, including bench trials and jury trials.
Formulate and extend plea offers and attempt to resolve cases short of trial.
Prepare and participate in pre-trial conferences, hearings, and Revocation and Deferred Sentence dockets.
Issue Show Causes and Notice of Hearings and participate in related hearings.
Draft form motions to revoke deferred sentences or probation when necessary.

Qualifications:
Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.

Experience with criminal prosecution preferred.
Strong legal research, writing, and courtroom presentation skills.
Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
