$110,000 - $190,000 yearly

• Get the appropriate legal documents ready for clients, such as brief, motions, and pleadings, as well as correspondence
• Advise clients by weighing available options toward a successful outcome and plan a course of action
• Determine case strategies and solutions to serve clients’ needs after analysis
• Perform research, draft briefs, pleadings, and motions
• Manage a docket of personal injury cases from intake through resolution
• Prepare demands, motions, discovery requests/responses, and other legal documents
• Conduct depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials
• Develop a case strategy and advise clients accordingly
• Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and insurance carriers
• Supervise support staff as necessary (e.g., paralegals, case managers)
• Maintain accurate and timely case records using legal case management software

• Decision-making, public speaking, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, and communication skills are a must
• Able to work independently while handling multiple files
• Candidates must currently be a member of their local bar association - active member preferred
• Successful completion of accredited law school with Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree with 2 years of related experience
• Strong knowledge of legal research programs such as Westlaw and Lexis products is required
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Active license to practice law in Colorado and in good standing
• Minimum of 3–5 years of litigation experience, preferably in personal injury
• Demonstrated trial and courtroom experience
• Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment with little supervision
• Client-focused, ethical, and driven to achieve justice

His knowledge of criminal law can help you through the often‑confusing process of being charged and arrested with felonies, drug crimes, and misdemeanors on or off military bases.

Timothy Bussey’s experience as an Active‑Duty Judge Advocate has also allowed him to provide skilled criminal defense to defendants charged on military bases, including Fort Carson, Peterson, Cheyenne Mountain, Schriever Air Force Base, as well as the U.S. Air Force Academy (USAFA).
