Range

$64,086.00 - $74,767.00 annually. Compensation will be commensurate upon experience and qualifications. This position is Exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) overtime provisions.

Summary

The Materials, Acquisitions & Distribution (MAD) Manager oversees the daily operations of the university's materials management, warehouse, inventory, distribution, procurement support, surplus property, mail services, and logistics functions. This position is responsible for leading a diverse team that supports the acquisition, receiving, storage, tracking, distribution, and disposition of materials, equipment, supplies, and assets necessary to maintain efficient campus operations.

The MAD Manager oversees campus-wide warehouse and distribution operations; inventory and asset management programs; surplus property and auction liquidation activities; mailroom services; furniture redistribution; office relocations; e-waste disposal; and event logistics support. Working collaboratively with Facilities Services departments, Business & Finance Solutions, Planning, Design & Construction, campus stakeholders, and external vendors, this position ensures the timely acquisition and availability of materials, equipment, and resources needed to support maintenance, custodial, grounds, utilities, construction projects, and other operational activities.

The position works closely with CU System Procurement Services and utilizes established procurement methods to facilitate efficient purchasing and delivery processes, maintain operational continuity, ensure compliance with university policies and procurement requirements, and promote responsible stewardship of university resources.

The Materials, Acquisitions & Distribution (MAD) Manager provides leadership and oversight for departmental staff and daily operations, including work planning, process development, inventory management, budget monitoring, warehouse and mailroom services, and customer support functions. The position establishes operational priorities, coordinates service delivery, and identifies opportunities to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and customer satisfaction in support of university operations.
