Executive Pastor of Operations – Job Description
Summary/Objective
The Executive Pastor of Operations provides operational leadership and oversight for Mountain Springs Church, ensuring that day-to-day business, administrative, and operational functions are executed effectively and in alignment with the mission, values, and strategic direction of the church. This role partners closely with senior leadership to support organizational health, stewardship, and sustainable growth.
Essential Functions

Provide leadership and oversight of church operations and administrative functions
Support organizational effectiveness through coordination of departments and resources
Collaborate with senior leadership to align operations with the church’s mission and vision
Oversee operational systems, policies, and procedures
Ensure operational compliance with applicable laws and internal standards
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor

Work Environment
This job operates primarily in a professional office and ministry setting. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, and related technology.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee may be required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel objects, and reach with hands and arms.
The ability to lift office materials and supplies up to 20 pounds may be required.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Standard workdays are Sunday through Thursday. Evening and weekend work may be required based on ministry needs and operational demands.
Travel
Travel expectations are minimal and primarily local. Occasional off-site meetings or events may be required.Requirements
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree required
Five to ten (5–10) years of relevant leadership or operational experience
Preferred Education and Experience
Master’s degree preferred
Five to ten (5–10) years of advanced leadership experience
