This position is in a machine shop environment and requires a team-oriented individual who will set up and operate CNC lathe and mill machinery. You will also support various processes to produce parts for the aerospace industry.
What You Will Do:
- Operation of CNC lathes (primarily), provide backup operations on CNC mills and other manual equipment.
- You will be expected to set-up and run machines on a wide variety of operations involving multiple machines that convert raw materials to precision semi-finished goods within print tolerance specification.
- Make offset adjustments as needed to maintain engineering specifications.
- You will be required to obtain Certified Operator certification through on-the-job training & testing.
- Maintain proper condition of measuring instruments
- Maintain proper cutting conditions on machining centers
- Meet or exceed required output hours
- Use fixtures or gauges to verify accomplish dimensional checks.
- Performs other duties as required and available for overtime as necessary.
- Communicate with co-workers and supervisors to coordinate activities.
- Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/ technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- Operate single turret or twin spindle CNC Lathe Machines with Live Tooling capabilities.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings as well as understand basic work instructions for product fabrication
- General knowledge, skills, and understanding with hand and power tools to include, rotary tooling, sanding devices, manual deburring tools, wrenches, etc.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Basic PC skills for data entry, timecard and production time entries
- Proficiency with precision measuring and fixed gauge equipment (micrometers, calipers, electronic height gauges, etc.)
- Intermediate knowledge of shop math skills.
- Experience operating CNC lathes and mills in a manufacturing machinery environment.

The hourly range for this role is $20.91 - $39.31. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
