The Quality Inspector is responsible for performing accurate, reliable inspection from first-article through final verification to ensure product conformance and on-time delivery. This role applies best-practice inspection methods by developing inspection plans directly from prints and work orders, selecting appropriate measurement techniques for features and tolerances, and executing hands-on inspection using CMM and precision hand gages. The Quality Inspector plays a key role in maintaining calibration compliance and ensuring disciplined documentation in support of the Quality Management System (QMS).
Key Responsibilities
Support and comply with Cogitic’s Quality Management System (QMS) and internal quality procedures
Document inspection activities, results, and job data accurately within Pro Shop ERP
Interpret prints and GD&T to develop practical inspection plans (what to measure, when to measure, and how)
Perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections to support conformance and on-time shipment
Develop and maintain offline CMM programs (MCOSMOS) to ensure inspection readiness ahead of production needs
Work closely with Manufacturing to align in-process inspection with production flow and delivery commitments
Manage and maintain the gauge calibration system, including scheduling, status, traceability, and compliance
Collaborate with Mission Assurance and Engineering to meet customer requirements and resolve issues using clear, objective measurement data

Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Ability to work in an office environment or remotely.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Capability to operate technology for up to 8 hours per day.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position approximately 50% of the time.
- Up to 10% travel, as required.
