Roth Industries is a nationally recognized food manufacturer specializing in fresh prepared foods distributed through more than 8,000 retail locations across the United States. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead manufacturing operations at our Colorado Springs facility.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on manufacturing leader who is passionate about food production, operational excellence, team development, and continuous improvement.
The Production Manager is responsible for leading daily manufacturing operations, ensuring production goals are achieved safely, efficiently, and on schedule. This role oversees multiple production shifts while partnering with Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Operations to drive safety, food quality, productivity, and employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities Production Leadership- Lead daily production operations across multiple shifts
- Ensure production schedules, labor utilization, and operational goals are achieved
- Monitor manufacturing performance and implement corrective actions when needed
- Support production planning to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Promote a strong Safety First and Quality First culture
- Ensure compliance with GMPs, HACCP, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations
- Partner with Quality teams to maintain product integrity and regulatory compliance
- Reinforce safe work practices throughout the facility
- Lead Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, throughput, and operational efficiency
- Reduce waste and improve equipment utilization
- Analyze production KPIs and drive performance improvements
- Coach, mentor, and develop Production Supervisors and frontline employees
- Foster accountability, teamwork, and employee engagement
- Support staffing, performance management, and workforce development
- Build a positive, results-driven manufacturing culture
- Partner with Maintenance to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Warehouse, and Quality teams to meet production goals
- Help resolve operational challenges through effective communication and leadership
- Participate in strategic initiatives that support company growth
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Food Science, Manufacturing
, or a related field preferred - 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience required
- Previous food manufacturing experience strongly preferred
- Experience leading production teams across multiple shifts
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, GMPs, HACCP, TPM, and food safety standards
- Proven ability to improve operational performance using production metrics and KPIs
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
