The CNC Programmer 1 works closely with Engineering and Manufacturing to design, program, and machine the following:
Vacuum forming molds, work holding fixtures, production piece parts, and prototypes.

• Assist in creating programs for 3-axis and 5-axis CNC routers using CAM software.
• Design vacuum-forming molds and working holding fixtures using Solid Works CAD software.
• Participate in product development reviews to provide feedback on the manufacturability of parts and improve product design.
• Work closely with CNC machine operator(s) to produce production parts that meet quality and design specifications.
• Communicate and collaborate with the manufacturing floor, Design Engineering, and Quality departments on timelines, part designs, and quality control processes.
• Create, control, and maintain documentation related to 3-Axis and 5-Axis CNC operations and jobs.
• Manage CNC tooling inventory Follow all company policies and OSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
• Wear personal protective equipment in designated operations and production areas as stated by company policy.

• Ability to consistently manage and follow through with multiple projects and assignments and meet deadlines
• Maintain a positive attitude when priorities shift, and designs change in a quickly evolving industry
• Verbal and written communication skills, organization skills, ability to prioritize, and be detail oriented
• Mechanical aptitude
• Innovative and creative within a professional environment

• Required:
  
  CNC machining and programming experience
• Required:
  
  Ability to learn quickly and a strong desire to tackle new challenges

• Preferred:
  Design experience using CAD software
• Preferred:
  Certified Solid Works Associate certificate (CSWA)
• Preferred:
  Programming experience using HSMWorks CAM software
• Preferred:
  Associate degree in machining or related technical program

Pay: $25 to $32 hr.
