About the RoleMaterial Handler position for our manufacturing facility located in Colorado Springs, CO.
What You'll Accomplish- Properly receive, unload and store alternative materials while respecting safety and quality standards
- Handle accurate analysis, evaluation, and tracking of materials received at the preprocessing platform
- Ensure all appropriate material testing, monitoring and inspections are performed (shift, daily, weekly, monthly) and documented as required
- Submit information regarding inbound loads to appropriate LH/Geocycle personnel in a timely manner
- Collect samples of alternative fuel and raw materials for analysis
- Report and correct co‑processing and maintenance issues promptly; notify Facility
- Notify supervisor of downtime via text, call, or radio
- Conduct mobile equipment safety inspections prior to use and document all inspections
- Assist in maintenance and repairs (blade changes, guards, breakdowns, etc.) as needed
- Support alternative materials testing, receiving, monitoring and co‑processing
- Assist in cement plant work as required
- Apply solid technical knowledge of Alternative Fuels and Raw Materials
- Promote a culture of safety and adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies
- Other responsibilities as assigned

Education:
High School diploma/GED - Required
Work Experience:
2 years heavy industry experience/material handling - Licenses: Valid Driver’s License
- Computer
Skills:
Basic knowledge of computers, Microsoft Office, and SAP
- Good communication skills
- Strong ability to work self‑directed
- Demonstrated problem‑solving skills and sound decision making based on available information
- Flexible, able to adjust to changing priorities and propose improvement actions
- Able to facilitate collaboration of people in assigned area
- Initiative and self‑starting abilities; willing to take action to resolve problems
- Set and possess high work standards
- Customer focused, both internally and externally
- Microsoft Office computer experience required
- Adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved PPE (including respirators); employees required to wear respirators must be clean shaven in the seal area to pass fit tests
