Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Photo and Metrology Equipment Technician to join our D Shift night team. This position is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands‑on technical work, troubleshooting, and working in a high‑technology manufacturing environment. Direct semiconductor equipment experience is not required, although experience with photo, metrology, manufacturing, automation, or other technical equipment is preferred. Candidates with backgrounds in electrical, mechanical, industrial maintenance, military technical specialties, or related hands‑on fields are encouraged to apply.

The successful candidate will support the safe, reliable, and accurate operation of photolithography and metrology equipment. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, tool recovery, component replacement, documentation, and collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams to minimize downtime and protect product quality. Because this is a D Shift night position, the ability to work independently, stay focused during overnight hours, and communicate effectively across shifts is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance and basic corrective maintenance on photo and metrology equipment.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues using a logical, structured, and data‑driven approach.
  • Respond to equipment alarms, tool interruptions, and production‑impacting issues in a timely manner.
  • Investigate potential mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, motion‑control, optical, sensor, and software‑related problems.
  • Support equipment startups, shutdowns, qualifications, recoveries, and operational checks.
  • Replace, clean, inspect, align, and adjust equipment components as directed.
  • Support photolithography, wafer inspection, measurement, and metrology systems.
  • Assist with equipment checks related to alignment, focus, overlay, critical dimension, film thickness, defect inspection, and other measurement functions.
  • Follow standard operating procedures, maintenance instructions, schematics, drawings, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Accurately document equipment conditions, troubleshooting actions, repairs, parts replaced, and follow‑up requirements.
