Core responsibilities

Operate CNC mills/lathes to meet blueprint and specification requirements.

Execute complex machine setups using provided setup sheets and tool lists.

Interpret drawings and blueprints to determine optimal machining approach.

Run manual machines (mills, lathes, drill presses, band saw) for secondary operations.

Perform first‑article and routine in‑process inspections with calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

Troubleshoot issues; apply corrective actions to maintain dimensional accuracy.

Collaborate with engineering to improve processes for quality and efficiency.

Mentor CNC Machinist I team members; foster a learning culture.

Complete routine maintenance; uphold safety policies and 5S standards.

Escalate equipment/production concerns quickly and clearly.

Document production, material usage, and inspection data with accuracy.

Qualifications High school diploma or GED (vocational machining training preferred).2–4 years of CNC machine operation experience.

Proficient blueprint reading and precision measurement skills.

Detail‑oriented with strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving ability.

Team player who can mentor junior machinists effectively.

Schedule & environment

Full‑time with standard shift hours; overtime may be required to meet production demand.

Manufacturing floor environment with active machinery and production noise.

Regular standing, repetitive motions, and lifting up to 30 lbs for extended periods.

Compensation & benefits $22.00–$30.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
