Summary / Objective
The Young Adults Pastor supports the mission and vision of Mountain Springs Church by providing strategic leadership, pastoral care, and oversight of all Young Adults ministries. This role is responsible for cultivating a thriving, Christ-centered young adult community through teaching, discipleship, service opportunities, and leadership development. The ideal candidate demonstrates a clear pastoral calling, strong leadership presence, and the ability to balance ministry, administration, and relationship-building in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Essential Functions

Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all aspects of the Young Adults ministry.
Lead and oversee Thursday night Young Adult services, including primary teaching responsibilities, service planning, scheduling, and volunteer coordination.
Fulfill a pastoral role by providing spiritual leadership, guidance, care, and discipleship to young adults and ministry leaders.
Recruit, equip, develop, and lead volunteer leaders who support the Young Adults ministry.
Define and refine the mission and vision for Young Adults ministries in alignment with Mountain Springs Church’s mission, vision, values, doctrinal beliefs, and decision drivers.
Oversee program development that promotes spiritual growth, including group life, discipleship pathways, and service opportunities.
Manage ministry-related correspondence, including voicemail, email, and written communication.
Collaborate with church leadership and staff to support overall ministry goals.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position does not have direct supervisory responsibility but provides leadership and oversight of volunteer ministry leaders.
This role operates primarily in a church and office environment and regularly uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and ministry-related technology.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk, sit, and use hands to handle or feel. The position requires visual and auditory acuity and the ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds as needed.
The role may involve prolonged standing, varying schedules, and exposure to unpredictable situations.
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Standard workdays are Sunday through Thursday. Evening and weekend work is required as ministry needs demand.
Travel
This position does not require regular travel.
RequirementsRequired Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Minimum of three years of ministry experience working with youth and/or young adults
Preferred Education and Experience
Five to ten years of ministry leadership experience
Familiarity with church database systems and ministry software

Work Authorization / Security Clearance
Employee must be authorized to work in the United States and possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
